Applicants must possess the following to be considered for an A&P Mechanic position with SkyWest Airlines:
• An FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic license
• A high school diploma
• The ability to communicate fluently in English (both verbally and written)
• Excellent decision-making and communication skills
• A stable employment history
• A positive attitude and professional image
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record
• The ability to see and hear approaching vehicles, aircraft propellers and machinery that could present immediate danger
• The ability to routinely lift 75 lbs. with or without accommodation
• The ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently in confined spaces

• The ability to legally work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 (as a U.S. citizen or with proper authorization)
A&P Mechanic job applicants must not have any previous felony convictions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of A&P Mechanics:
• Comply with FAA regulations and GMPM procedures
• Perform maintenance on EMB & CRJ aircraft
• Work weekends, holidays and night shifts
• Perform overtime work as needed
• Be available for road trips
• Perform tasks as required by supervisor
