Bench Technicians

To qualify for the bench over-ride in base locations and work as an avionics bench technician, one of the following prerequisites must be met:

• Graduated from an accredited avionics school
• Military training in avionics/electronics
• Associate degree or higher in electronics and Hold Qty 2 vendor level 3 equipment repair certificates in addition to 12 months avionics bench repair experience and have an avionics bench position assigned
• A&P and FCC GROL certificates with Qty 2 vendor level 3 equipment repair certificates in addition to 12 months avionics bench repair experience, as well as provide evidence of knowledge in electronics fundamentals and have an avionics bench position assigned
