SkyWest United Express Announces New Service between Monterey, California and Denver

St. George, UT, June 3, 2005 – SkyWest Airlines (Nasdaq: SKYW) is pleased to announce new United Express jet service between Denver, Colorado and Monterey, California. The new service will utilize the Bombardier manufactured Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ200). Passengers can enjoy the comfort, convenience and speed of the CRJ200 with its two-by-two seating arrangement - every seat is an aisle or a window. The plane can cruise at a speed of 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world.

Through Denver , United Airline's second largest hub, Monterey residents and tourists alike now have easier access to numerous destinations. “With 403 daily departures from Denver throughout the U.S. , Canada and Mexico , this new service really connects our community to the world,” said Tim Laizure, SkyWest Station Manager at the Monterey Peninsula Airport

Effective June 7, the new service schedule is:

To commemorate the new service, SkyWest Airlines and members of the surrounding Chambers of Commerce will celebrate the inaugural flight with a welcoming reception on June 7, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Monterey Peninsula Airport . Members of the community are invited to join the celebration.

For nearly 18 years, SkyWest has proudly served Monterey County in multiple capacities. Monterey had housed Delta Connection operated by SkyWest for nearly nine years when the United Express banner was raised at Monterey in 1998. SkyWest Airlines was named the Number One On-Time Mainland Airline in the United States by the Department of Transportation for 2004, a year in which they carried 13.4 million passengers. System-wide, SkyWest has more than 8,300 employees and serves a total of 113 cities in 31 states and three Canadian provinces with approximately 1,500 daily departures.
