ST. GEORGE, Utah, August 23, 2004 – SkyWest Airlines (NASDAQ: SKYW)
proudly celebrates 25 years in Yuma, Arizona at Yuma International Airport. To
celebrate the station anniversary, SkyWest will host a station celebration August 25,
2004 at the SkyWest facility in Yuma, where customers will enjoy light refreshments.
SkyWest began service in Yuma August 1, 1979, operating as Sun Aire. The
exclusive provider for all Yuma air service in 1979, SkyWest’s Sun Aire operation was
the city’s only outlet, with destinations ranging from Phoenix to the Californian cities of
Imperial, Palm Springs and Los Angeles. SkyWest served as a pilot base from March
1982 to December 2001, and has flown under the Sun Air, Delta Air Lines and most
recently, United Airlines banners.
Today, as United Express in Yuma, SkyWest provides three daily roundtrip flights
to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Once in Los Angeles, United customers
have access to more than 250 daily flights across their route network that spans the
globe.

SkyWest’s seven customer service employees in Yuma share a combined 88
years of customer service experience at an average seniority of 14 years at the airline.

million passengers. System-wide, SkyWest has approximately 6,800 employees and
serves a total of 124 cities in 32 states and three Canadian provinces with more than
