ST. GEORGE, Utah, September 4, 2003 – SkyWest Airlines,
a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW), is pleased to announce
the appointment of Todd Emerson to Director of Government and
Legal Affairs. Todd will work at the airlines’ corporate
headquarters in St. George, Utah and will report to Necia Clark-Mantle,
SkyWest’s Vice President of the People Department.
In his new position, Todd will be responsible for the overall
government and legal strategies of SkyWest. He will serve as SkyWest’s
liaison between local, state, and federal government entities.
“As SkyWest continues to expand our workforce and our route
system, we saw a need for an increased governmental and legal
presence,” said Ron Reber, Executive Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer. “With Todd’s presence at
SkyWest, the challenges accompanied with our rapid growth will
receive the additional attention it needs and the SkyWest of the
future will continue with the same successes we’ve enjoyed
in the past.”
“Todd is highly qualified, although we are impressed with
more than his qualifications. He is an outstanding individual
and a good fit for SkyWest’s culture,” Clark-Mantle
explained. “I’m thrilled SkyWest has made this decision,
and I’m anxious to see Todd progress.”
For the last five years, Todd worked as an attorney for Salt
Lake City firm Fabian and Clendenin, P.C. He holds a Juris Doctorate
degree from George Washington University Law School and a bachelor’s
degree in International Relations and Spanish from Brigham Young
University. Todd will be relocating to St. George with his wife
Dianne and their three children.
