ST. GEORGE, Utah, August 1, 2003 – SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW), is excited to announce special Fly Local Fares! Beginning August 1, 2003, passengers can fly for $99 each way between St. George and the airline’s largest hub - Salt Lake City. Additionally, SkyWest will offer a $98 roundtrip fare for students in honor of Dixie State College’s 98 year anniversary.

“We have given the city our commitment for quality air service that is reasonably priced,” explained Steve Hart, SkyWest Vice President Market Development. “SkyWest and St. George have a 30 year partnership, and we’re pleased to offer this fare to the community as part of our continued commitment.”

The special $99 fare is part of the new “Fly Local” campaign and partnership SkyWest has made with the community. “Our goal is to ensure the long term viability for air service in Southern Utah and reasonably priced local fares to Salt Lake City should go a long way toward achieving that objective,” said Hart.

In January 2002, SkyWest moved all of its Delta flying to a “fee-per-departure” agreement. Under that arrangement, SkyWest was paid by Delta an agreed-upon departure rate for each completed flight, in additional incentive amounts based on performance goals. As of August 1, 2003, the “fee-per-departure” agreement at St George ends, and SkyWest again assumes the financial risk, making it possible to better control seat inventories and pricing. Consequently, SkyWest passengers can now enjoy Fly Local Fares!

In addition to the Fly Local Fares!, St. George passengers will enjoy free parking and short lines for check-in and security. Book your reservation at www.delta.com, or call Delta Reservations at 800.221.1212.

SkyWest currently operates under marketing agreements in St. George with Delta Air Lines and United Airlines as Delta Connection and United Express, respectively. As the nation's largest independently operated regional carrier, the airline carried 8.23 million passengers last year. SkyWest serves a total of 100 cities in 27 states and two Canadian provinces and has more than 1,100 daily departures. SkyWest press releases and information on SkyWest can be accessed at www.skywest.com. SkyWest reminds you to fly local.
