GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado, December 3, 2003 - SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW) is proud to be celebrating 20 years of air service in Grand Junction, Colorado. SkyWest began service from Grand Junction to Salt Lake City in December of 1983.

Grand Junction has played an integral role in the growth and success of SkyWest. In 20 years Grand Junction has seen a myriad of SkyWest service from flying under their own banner to flying for Western Airlines as Western Express, to the present day service for Delta Air Lines as Delta Connection and United Airlines as United Express.

SkyWest staffs Walker Field with 32 locally based employees who collectively have more than 110 years of customer service experience with the airline. SkyWest operates 10 daily flights from Grand Junction. As Delta Connection, they offer six flights a day to their largest hub, Salt Lake City International Airport. As the exclusive United Express ground handler, SkyWest offers four of the six daily flights to Denver International Airport.

"I feel honored to work for such a great company in such a wonderful community," said Bruce Balbier, SkyWest's Grand Junction Station Manager and 17 year employee. "SkyWest has a strong history in Grand Junction and we owe much of our success to the folks that have enjoyed our air service for the last 20 years. We look forward to continuing great customer service for another 20 years of success."

"We are very pleased to have had the services of SkyWest for the last 20 years," said Walker Field Airport Manager Corinne Nystrom. "Their unwavering commitment to the community the last two decades has played an important role in our local economy providing an even more attractive location for businesses."

Representatives from SkyWest's corporate headquarters will be on-hand to celebrate with their employees and customers with onboard tickets giveaways.

SkyWest Airlines is the nation's largest independently owned regional carrier and carried 8.23 million passengers last year. In their monthly Air Traveler Consumer Report, the US Department of Transportation has recognized SkyWest as the number one on-time airline seven of the last eight reported months. SkyWest operates as Continental Connection, Delta Connection and United Express carriers under marketing agreements with Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines respectively. System-wide, SkyWest has approximately 5,700 employees and serves a total of 105 cities in 26 states and three Canadian provinces with more than 1,200 daily departures.
