Ground School for both aircraft will take place at SkyWest Salt Lake City Training Facility and will last for three weeks. From there, an EMB student can expect to travel to Fresno for about a week of FTD (flight training device). After that is completed, the student will be sent to Long Beach for approximately one week of simulator training. Once that is completed, initial operating experience will be set up and should be completed in approximately ten days to two weeks.

CRJ students can expect the entire training process to be completed in Salt Lake City with the exception of their initial operating experience.

During ground training, the students will be housed at surrounding hotels. Double occupancy should be expected, however concessions may be made for your own room with half the expense being your responsibility.

Hotels do provide courtesy shuttle service operating to and from the training facility.
