  Cross Utilized Agents perform all tasks associated with passenger processing and ramp operations. The combined duties include: Greeting and assisting customers with check-in, ticketing, gate information and boarding of aircraft, sorting, loading and unloading of baggage and airfreight on aircraft, proficient use of computer, resolving customer complaints, marshalling aircraft on the ramp, servicing aircraft lavatories and potable water, pushback plane from the gate, deicing and window wash, general assistance to passengers and other duties as delegated. They are also responsible to consistently present a professional and positive image of SkyWest Airlines.

To be considered for a Cross Utilized Agent position, you must meet the following requirements:
 
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Type 30 words-per-minute
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably
  • Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints
  • Self-motivated, team player
  • Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
  • Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug test
  
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner
  • Provide ticketing and reservations, check luggage, issue boarding passes, rebook passengers as needed, provide accurate flight arrival and departure information, as well as answer general customer questions
  • Responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage, airfreight and COMAT (continuous lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transfer of baggage, freight and COMAT)
  • Loading and unloading of customer baggage and airfreight onto baggage cart and aircraft (includes weight and balance/load planning)
  • Assist special needs passengers, resolve customer complaints and other duties as assigned
  • Monitor customer safety during boarding and deplaning, and assist customers ina friendly and courteous manner
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and handling of unaccompanied minors, law enforcement officers, Hazmat and airfreight acceptance guidelines
  • Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times
  • Marshall aircraft on the ramp (includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft)
  • Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment safety checks
  • Service aircraft as needed (aircraft lavatories, potable water, window wash, de-icing and commissary items)
  • Assist in ramp set-up and storage of equipment and baggage
  • Clear and accurate communication with passengers, agents, flight crew and vendors
  • Comply with all safety procedures and Station policies
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager and Supervisor
