Jerry C. Atkin joined SkyWest in 1975 as Director of Finance. Shortly thereafter, at age 26, he became the youngest President of a scheduled airline. Jerry has served as Chief Executive Officer since 1975 and was elected as Chairman of the Board in June 1991. He has led the Company from annual revenues of under $1 million to more than $3.5 billion.

Jerry obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah, and practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for two years prior to joining SkyWest.

Jerry currently serves on the Board of Directors of Zion's Bancorporation, and is a member of the Utah Board of Regents.

He and his wife, Carolyn, live in St. George, Utah. They have a daughter, three sons, and three grandsons.
